How long is the trail ride?
Trail rides are approximately an hour long; however we ask that you come 15 minutes earlier than your booked time in order to fill out any paperwork and get you set up for a fun ride.
Can we feed the horses? (Even apples and carrots)
While the horses love snacks, extra feedings can lead to health risks making it harder for us to monitor their intake as well as their sugar levels. While horses do have sweet tooth's their metabolic systems doesn't always process sugars properly and in order to avoid metabolic distress (upset tummies) or increased weight we ask that you don't feed the horses unless otherwise directed by staff... Even Grass (some horses are allergic!)
Another unfortunate reality is that sometimes, your fingers can get caught in the crossfire when they go for the snack and we want to make sure your fingers don't look like baby carrots to chomp! Feeding can lead to horses showing undesired behaviours such as biting and pushing boundaries which makes it harder for us to keep public interactions. In order to avoid this, we must work together to keep happy, healthy horses and interactions.
